Meet the bearded barbet, a bird with a plump figure and a distinct appearance. This avian species has a large head and a short tail, measuring approximately 26 centimeters in length. The adult birds’ black coloration is visible on their breastband, tail, back, and crown.
The area beneath the dark band around the bird’s chest is a vibrant shade of red with white markings. This bird is called by its species name due to its notable beak, which is both large and yellow in color, and also features a thick group of bristles at its base.
